Global Pop Magazine
You get to the end of the listening with the desire to start the song over again.
Distopic
Ultimately, Possessed hits like a club-ready, dimly lit piece which combines a cutting sound with a strong melodic quality.
Destroy/Exist
It highlights an expressive path designed to receive the vocal performance, whose strength and firm personality are the natural guide that keeps listeners immersed in the track.

I WANNA BE YOUR DOG
Melt Motif‘s take is stupendous. They drenched the motherrocker of a track in their own industrial-techno bath, and the intoxicating outcome is a zippy electro runner that works as a magnet on your senses and your body actions.
Turn Up The Volume
VANDALISM VOL. 2
The dangerous operation of destructuring the Norwegian project, with a Brazilian soul, continues and leaves me truly amazed. In some ways this collection of remixes is even superior to the magnificent ‘Particles. Death Objective’

PARTICLES. DEATH OBJECTIVE
A band so unique, you might be reminded of Nine Inch Nails, Massive Attack or HEALTH. (9/10)
Take Effect
Rakel’s voice, I haven’t heard one so deep and beautiful in a long time, seems to be born in the afterlife. It makes its way through industrial ruins, cinematic atmospheres darker than black holes and the heartbeat grows from song to song.
Suffissocore [Italian]
‘Particles. Death Objective’ is an album of high class. An electronica album that fits like a glove. Play it loud in a dark room or just enjoy it with headphones on. It sounds simply wonderful..
Puls [Norwegian]
Melt Motif should be the breakout stars of 2023 with new album ‘Particles. Death Objective’. If there is any justice in the world then by the end of the year this little know band from Bergen in Norway should be on everyone’s radar.
Ramzine
Particles. Death Objective is proof that electronica can be artful in a frugal way when done right. And this one is spot on.
Rock Music Raider
“Particles…” is a fascinating album in which it is easy to get lost in, because there is so much here that tickles you in the right places. It has the nerve, weight and accessibility that have made so many musicians before them great.
Bergens Tidende [Norwegian]
Particles is one of the best pop albums of the year so far…
Exposé
Melt Motif’s Particles. Death Objective, takes the listener on a roller coaster ride…
Mxdwn
Cinematic in scope and feel, crammed with great ideas, and capable of keeping the listener engaged from beginning to end, this is one eclectic and original-sounding record that the openminded listeners out there ought to make a note of.
Eternal Terror
Brazilian Cult Magazine writes about Melt Motif and the ‘Particles. Death Objective’ album.
Cult Magazine [Portuguese]
Melt Motive mix female perspective with dark visuals and soundscapes, bringing together something beautifully unsettling, musically profound and all-round morish for fans of the genre.

A WHITE HORSE WILL TAKE YOU HOME
Find yourself a quiet room, or ideally put on the headphones. Lower the lights or close your eyes. Give yourself to this album, and you’ll go on a journey. I wasn’t expecting MELT MOTIF, and I certainly wasn’t expecting A White Horse Will Take You Home, but I’m going to go along for this ride again and again. (5/6)
Rebel Extravaganza
It takes take and patience to absorb and digest every nuance and layer of this cleverly constructed piece of evocative art, but those of you with an open mind will be richly rewarded and it is a terrific ride through compelling electronic landscapes. (5/6)
Eternal terror
The heavier moments bring in Rammstein with a little bit of Nine Inch Nails, while the soft and ethereal melodies reminded me of everything from Collide and Portishead to Goldfrapp, and that proves to be quite the enticing combination.
Metal Trenches
They make some very distinct and inviting pop sounds that embrace countless influences and never stay in one place very long.
Take Effect
If you’re still waiting for a new Portishead album and are hoping that Beth Gibbons & Co will continue in the vein of We Carry On and Machine Gun, this album will be heartfelt appreciated. (11/15)
Betreutes Proggen [German]
Extremely interesting for the adventurous music lover.
Prog Wereld [Dutch]
The nine-track/37-minute LP oozes sex across its span.
The Obelisk
‘A White Horse Will Take You Home’ has a place among the best albums of 2022.
Kollektiva [Hungarian]
The 9-track release offers quite a diverse pallet, from dreamy and cinematic to aggressive and industrial. Unpredictable is the best label you can put on this excellent new discovery.
Side-Line
Sometimes it is necessary to break the mould and this ticks those boxes with nine tracks of adventures into the unknown.
The Progressive Aspect
Melt Motif mix industrial with cinematic sounds, hard rhythms, electro pop and Rakel’s gentle vocals. An unusual mixture that you should try.
Musik Zirkus Magazin [German]
Exciting and innovative debut album.
Audiophile [Norwegian]
FULL MOON
It’s authentic and terribly catchy! Melt Motif makes our heads dance and our hearts vibrate. There’s like an atypical groove that catches your ears and won’t let go. In short, we are conquered…
Iggy Magazine [French]
This is how we imagine a NIN and Portishead collaboration might have developed with evidence of experimental compositional nostalgia in the vein of Kate Bush.
The Wild Is Calling
I have to admit that electronic music isn’t my first choice, but Melt Motif effortlessly makes an exception! Their blended sound and dark yet vibrant atmosphere make it hard not to be lured into their lusty realm.
Sistra
It’s a trip to an apocalyptic and futuristic scenario. The beats and lyrics of this song are full of expression. Melt Motif always knows how to involve us and make us reflect by going to amazing places in our minds.
In! [Portuguese]
Melt Motif is a rather contrasting group made up of Brazilians and Norwegians. They have a very varied musical palette, which is nothing but immense happiness for us. The meeting of these two cultures gave birth to a group that is certainly very atypical but very innovative.
Info Music [French]
Melt Motif successfully sails the edges of darkwave and post-industrial resulting in a seductive and smooth edgy atmosphere impossible not to pay attention to; this probably is an even more elegant type of aggrotech.
Synthpop Your World
I didn’t have to listen to this fantastic song for long, I loved it from the first seconds…

FULL MOON
It’s no exaggeration to say that this act is one of the best discoveries from the past few years pouring out a steady stream of quality music.
Side-Line
A deep dark masterpiece with uplifting music, poignant and dramatic lyrics, pulsating creativity, accompanied by Rakel’s ethereal vocals and an artistic animated video.
Kollektiva [Hungarian]
…A fantastic song!
Electrozombies
The strong personality of the tracks lies in the solid vocal work. The vocal interpretation is flexible, each word, each idea has a weight in the song, at times dense, at times dynamic, at times reflective. This song proposes an active listening and new experiences arises on each listen.

SLEEP
Sleep is an immersive number, a very beautiful blend of dreampop and industrial ways; another example of the highly creative duo’s spectrum, and the final single before the impending debut album.

ANDALUSIAN DOG
With a creative production, and an instrumental direction being pulsating and lush, Andalusian Dog has a dismal and odd ambiance attributable to the project’s clever blend of industrial and contemporary electronic dark sounds.

MINE
It is quite an experience that feels like a shot of adrenaline.
Rue X Magazine [Spanish]
It feels like a bright glow of the sun shining through the days of dense, grey cloud cover. Almost like a kind of salvation.
